This par 5 was recently extended to match the architect's original design. This hole features a 4,500 square foot green that nestles against a wooded backdrop and is fronted by a gravel bottom section of Fish Creek. The cobble-lined banks of Fish Creek guard the entire right side of the landing area, before cutting directly across the approach and leaving a shallow 20 feet of approach between the green and the creek. The entire length of the right side of the fairway is lined by a mature stand of Maple, Beech, Oak and Cherry trees. This forest growing on the steep embankment provides an impenetrable wall that extends down to the hidden banks of Fish Creek. The view from the hilltop tee allows the golfer to see the entire length of the hole as it bends gently to the right. There are no bunkers around the new green, but one fairway bunker and the two bunkers fronting the old #16 green will remain to catch long drives off the tee.
